image001_27.jpgThis week is The Itsy Bitsy Bikini Ride! We will be meeting at 7:00pm at McNulty's Bitter End (Next to The Bulldog Mid-City).

This will be are first time riding in this part of our city. We have a great route planned, with lots of fun surprises! This will be a longer ride, as getting to the meeting spot will take some extra time. Because the meet spot is a bit farther out, we will not leave until 7:45pm. Also the ride will end in the at approximately 11pm, instead of the usual 10pm end time.

We understand that the ride is a bit farther out this week, and for those planning on driving a car, we recommend that you park near "Bayou Beer Garden" on Jeff Davis, as we will be ending the ride there (its a short ride to the start spot).

We have a swimming spot planned for the midway stop, hence the reason for the "BIKINI" theme. please bring a dry pair of shorts for the ride back after swimming (trust us).

******We will not have a "Stock up on Drinks and Snacks" Stop*******Zardoz.jpg

We will NOT be stopping to refill coolers! Please come prepared with whatever you want to drink or eat! As always, bring a few extra for those that forget!

Please get a phone number of a cruiser that you know is going, so you can catch up! We won't be able to hold the ride up this week, and will be leaving at 7:45PM SHARP!

- Bring repair items, patch kits, pump, wrench, just in case.

- Put fresh air in your tires, fresh batteries in your lights, oil your chain.

Working together, we should have all things covered, so that the fun never stops!

***Please pass the "word" back, as there will be a couple of times on this ride where we will be going single file******

As always, we leave no trace!

santa_bike.jpgWe are starting our ride in the Central Business District this week!  We will meet at the back porch of Ernst Cafe at 7:00.  Their address is 600 South Peters Street.  A map with directions is available here.  We will take to the streets of the CBD around 7:30! The theme this week is "Christmas in July", so break out your Santa hats and other festive holiday gear for some Thursday fun!

Check our facebook page for more information and to see who else is going to ride.

With so many new riders, we want to keep up the following reminders:

- We let cars pass us when on two-lane roads
- We respect all drivers, no matter what they are driving
- At traffic lights, the lead rider needs to wait one cycle (this lets everyone catch up)
- We are a slow paced cruise, if u have more than one gear don't use it
- Bring front and rear lights, for your safety!
- Take care of you bike: Air your tires and lube your chain!
- At some point, everyone gets a flat, patch kits & pumps help
- Bring something to share.
- Be festive! Costumes are encouraged, even if its not in line with the theme.
- Leave No Trace
- Safety 1st & Last
- Have a Happy Thursday, Everyday!
"Its good to be a redneck" is the theme for this week. That means camo is okay to wear, wife-beaters may be appropriate, and whatever else you can think of.  GO CRAZY!  We will meet at Finn MCcools. They're located at 3701 Banks Street, you can click here for directions to help you find your way.  We will be outside until 7:30pm-ish, then take it to the streets of Mid-City.  Most feel this is the best starting place we have, the food is all made in-house and the drinks are cold!  Not to mention it's the best place to catch all the soccer games.
