Council passes Complete Streets program

We all ride bikes, and know how rough they are to ride on.  They can be dangerous in many ways.  We’ve seen some improvements being made to some of the paths we take.  Hopefully those will continue to spread across the city with the new Complete Streets program that City Council passed recently.  This ordinance is designed to make New Orleans better for everyone.  Planners and engineers will work to improve infrastructure for drivers, walkers, and cyclists, and public transportation.  I found a good article and entertaining comments at NOLA.com.  For more information, click here to see what our friendly advocates at BikeEasy said.  And be sure to read the piece by The Lens featuring a few cyclist bios.
